Week 4 SAC Challenge

I was having a bit of fun this week, I decided to do something completely different. It was an idea that came to me in the shower, and those are usually the ones I roll with, so I decided to fuse a bit of African favour to the country song. This song is about a cowgirl dancing by the fire to african drums and being beautiful and hypnotic. I am not sure if this would fit into edgy, but I am happy with the final result!

COWBOY HAT AND BARE FEET
Oh oh ay oh
dancing to the African beat
Oh oh ay oh
Cowboy hat and bare feet

It’s like she’s from a far off place, the way she moves around the bonfire flames
she’s got me in a trance, watching her dance
cotton dress, cowboy hat on, she moving to the rhythm of a bongo drum
She’s doing some voodoo thing, calling me in

She don’t even know
she’s got me underneath her spell
I’m losing all control
over this country girl

Oh oh ay oh
dancing to the African beat
Oh oh ay oh
Cowboy hat and bare feet
Oh oh ay oh
dancing to the african beat
Oh oh ay oh
Cowboy hat and bare feet

I almost forget I’m sitting on a farm, cows in the field and roasting corn
while she’s painting up the sky, with colours bright
Suddenly I notice a million stars, and the roar of a lion off somewhere far
She is beautiful tonight like the southern lights

She don’t even know
she’s got me underneath her spell
I’m losing all control
over this country girl

Oh oh ay oh
dancing to the African beat
Oh oh ay oh
Cowboy hat and bare feet
Oh oh ay oh
dancing to the african beat
Oh oh ay oh
Cowboy hat and bare feet

She’s a dark haired, green eyed sweet dream
skin like diamonds in the moonlight
twirling barefoot southern beauty
calling out my wild side

Oh oh ay oh
dancing to the African beat
Oh oh ay oh
Cowboy hat and bare feet
Oh oh ay oh
dancing to the african beat
Oh oh ay oh
Cowboy hat and Bare feet
